AlaskaAdvocates.org contains two sections:

· Alaska Advocates - a password-protected area for pro bono attorneys, legal services attorneys, and public interest advocates

· ALSC Staff Area - a password-protected area for Alaska Legal Services Corporation staff

AlaskaAdvocates.org History and Goals

AlaskaAdvocates.org is a project of Alaska Legal Services Corporation in collaboration with pro bono programs and justice community partners in Alaska.

The project is powered by Pro Bono Net and received start-up funding from the Legal Services Corporation through Technology Initiative Grant funding.

Our goal is to expand access to the justice system throughout Alaska by:

(1) Enhancing communication and the sharing of information and resources within the public interest community in Alaska, and

(2) Facilitating pro bono assistance by members of the private bar by providing access to information and resources in the area of poverty law.
